The SIKLAB program was founded in 2025 in partnership with Lingap Angat and Angat Buhay. SIKLAB is Xcholastika's largest project to date. In line with its thrust of sparking service for transformative development, SIKLAB is a cornerstone of Xcholastika's service programs, promoting education in STEM and Finance. SIKLAB also incorporates the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), encouraging students to be changemakers in Philippine society. The first iteration of SIKLAB was held at the City of Mandaluyong Science High School with around 127 Grades 9 and 10 students.
SIKLAB aims to spark an interest in students' education within STEM and Finance through creative exhibitions, where students can utilize their learnings for real-life applications within their community to shape the future of the Philippines.
The first-ever SIKLAB included 8 booths, focused on Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Environmental Science, Earth Science, Financial Literacy, VEX Robotics, and Arduino Technology. Each booth focused on a specific UN SDG.
Booths included topics including:
"Quake Busters" which focuses on SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities by teaching about earthquake resilience
"Peso Power" which focuses on SDG 4: Quality Education by teaching students about the different forms of taxes and the relevance of the tax system as Filipino citizens
"VEXing Problems, VEX Solutions" which focuses on SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth by teaching students about the development process and practical applications of robotics
"Bridging the Future" which focuses on SDG 9: Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure by demonstrating the importance of structural stability for bridges and buildings
